Snow storm approaching Friday, January 7

More than 2 inches of snow is predicted to fall overnight tonight and continue to midday tomorrow.

Effective immediately, all vehicles are to be removed from the roadways.

Code Enforcement officers will be out throughout the storm ticketing vehicles left on roadways.

Residents needing to remove cars from streets who do not have sufficient room on their own property may park cars in Village parking lots or parking garages for free.  The Harrison Avenue parking garage may be utilized but the normal parking fee will be incurred.

When clearing driveways and sidewalks, residents and business owners may not throw snow into streets. Doing so creates a safety hazard and violates our Code.  Summonses can be issued for doing this.  Please place snow on your own property.

Vehicles may be returned to the street after plowing and salting operations are completed.

Village Hall will have a delayed opening at 10:30 am and Mineola Memorial Library will have a delayed opening at 11:00 am.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and patience during this snow event.
