PSE&G Conducting Roslyn Road Mainline Replacement

PSE&G has begun emergency work to repair and replace an underground transmission cable along Roslyn Road.  This is necessary to keep pace with the growing demand for electricity in our area, and will ensure greater service reliability to local communities.

While the cable runs beneath several communities, this work is in the Village of East Williston near Roslyn Road and Lee Avenue.  Although this is not in Mineola, it is close to our village border on Roslyn Road, and will frequently effect traffic along Roslyn Road.

This work will continue through the end of the year around the clock.

For more information on this work, please see PSE&G’s Fact Sheet on its website:  https://www.psegliny.com/reliability/EastWilliston

In addition, PE&G is directly notifying those customers most impacted by the work, including nearby Mineola residents, via text messages, emails, and social media.

If you have any questions concerning this specific project, please call PSE&G at 1-800-490-0025.

This project may also be impacted by National Grid’s continued gas main installation on Roslyn Road north of the PSE&G project in East Williston, between Locust Lane and Club Drive.   Any questions regarding National Grid’s gas main work can be directed by email to NWNassau@NationalGridGasProjectsNY.com, or by calling their project outreach team at (516) 882-4864.
