Mineola Village Hall and Memorial Library Closed to Public Effective Immediately

March 17, 2020

Effective immediately, the Village of Mineola Village Hall and Memorial Library will be closing to the public until further notice to mitigate the COVID-19 contagion.

Under an emergency Executive Order issued by Governor Cuomo yesterday, all municipalities must reduce staffing to 50% of normal operating levels.  This is being done to protect both public employees and the public served by them.

After careful planning, our village government operations will continue with reduced staffing.

Reduced staffing will necessitate certain changes in the scheduling of some services such as garbage collection.  Any schedule changes will be posted as they are implemented.

In addition, anyone having business with the Village should do so by mail, telephone, fax, or email.

DO NOT come to Village Hall or Memorial Library unless first instructed to do so by Village staff.

Please call the main Village telephone number at (516) 746-0750 and follow the prompts to the department needed for further instructions.

Please continue to monitor our Village website, www.mineola-ny.gov, TV, and social media for updates daily.

Residents are urged to enroll through our website for eNotices which will email updates as soon as they are issued.
