LIRR Announces Weekend Closure of Main Street October 19-20

The MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) strives to be a good neighbor in the communities we serve by keeping property owners informed of important infrastructure improvements that promote the safety of customers and area residents. On Saturday, October 19, and continuing through Sunday, October 20 the LIRR will be performing urgent repairs on the Main Street Grade Crossing in Mineola on the Mainline.

Details for the work are as follows:

October 19, 6:00 AM and continuing through Sunday, October 20, 11:00 PM

Complete Closure of Main Street Grade Crossing in Mineola

Nearby residents and businesses may experience temporary construction noise

During those hours vehicles can use: Front Street, Willis Avenue and Mineola Blvd.

While the work is in progress, the LIRR and MTA Police will be on site to facilitate safe traffic control.
