PUBLIC HEARINGS

ON LOCAL LAWS

§ 99.1 Public notice

Pursuant to Subdivision 5 of § 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, a public hearing on the adoption of a local law shall be held on public notice of at least three (3) days.

HISTORICAL NOTE

This Chapter is a codification of Local Law #1 of the year 1940 adopted on October 18, 1940. Most of the material has been removed as surplusage. Only the three day notice requirement has been retained.
