VILLAGE AUDITOR AND DEPUTY VILLAGE AUDITOR

§ 8A.1 Office of Village Auditor

The office of Village Auditor in and for the Incorporated Village of Mineola, New York, is created. The powers and duties granted to and imposed upon the duly appointed Village Auditor are as follows: the performance, under general supervision of the Board of Trustees, of responsible professional auditing work in conducting audits of accounts of departments, courts, agencies, institutions, committees, commissions, and board of the Village, and the performance of related work as required or requested.

§ 8A.2 Office of Deputy Village Auditor

The office of Deputy Village Auditor in and for the Incorporated Village of Mineola, New York, is created. The powers and duties granted to and imposed upon the duly appointed Deputy Village Auditor are as follows: assist the Village Auditor in the performance, under general supervision of the Board of Trustees and the Village Auditor, of responsible professional auditing work in conducting audits of accounts of departments, courts, agencies, institutions, committees, commissions, and boards of the Village, and assist the Village Auditor in the performance of related work as required or requested.

§ 8A.3 Appointment and Term Office of Village Auditor

The Mayor subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint the Village Auditor who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.

§ 8A.4 Appointment and Term Office of Deputy Village Auditor

The Mayor, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint the Deputy Village Auditor who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.

HISTORICAL NOTE

This Chapter was enacted by Local Law #11 of the year 1997 on December 3, 1997 and was filed in the office of the Secretary of State on December 24, 1997 effective 20 days after filing.
