Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola

held Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York.

Mayor Martins opened the Work Session at 6:50 PM.

Jeffrey S. Davoli of Albrecht, Viggiano, Zureck & Company presented a summary of the Village audit for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2005.

Mayor Martins and the Board discussed the recent request by Long Island Checker Cab  for additional 15 taxi licenses.  Trustee Paul Cusato suggested that the Village Board allow for an additional five or six licenses.

Resolved to approve additional six (6) taxi licenses for the Long Island Checker Cab Company.

Mayor Martins recognized Counsel to the Library Board, Russell Burcheri who reported that the proposed CSEA contract was approved.

Mayor Martins opened the Public Meeting at 7:55 PM. 

 

Mayor Martins wished everyone a Happy Holiday.  Mayor Martins introduced the Mineola “Ding – a – lings” from the Mineola Chapter of the AARP, who performed a few holiday tunes on hand bells.  Mayor Martins and the Board of Trustees also performed.

 

Trustee Lawrence Werther wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

 

Trustee Linda Fairgrieve wished everyone Happy Holidays and announced the arrival of a new puppy.

 

Trustee Paul Cusato wished everyone Happy Holidays and also announced a new puppy.

 

Trustee John DaVanzo wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

 

Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the meeting at 8:45 PM.
