Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola

held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York 11501.

Mayor Martins opened the Work Session at 6:30 PM.

 

Mayor Martins, the Board of Trustees, Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt and Mineola Fire Department Company 3 welcomed U.S. Army Specialist Matthew Doyle home from Iraq.

Resolved to approve the Mineola P.A.L.’s request for the use of the Community Center gymnasium for its Lacrosse Program on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:15 PM to 9:30 PM beginning on Thursday, February 2, 2007 through Friday, March 31, 2007.

Department of Public Works Superintendent Thomas Rini discussed the storm water drainage problem on Bruce Terrace and announced the holiday sanitation schedule.

Mayor Martins announced that on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 the Board of Trustees would hold a hearing to consider a proposed Local Law to establish Chapter 57 of the Municipal Code of the Incorporated Village of Mineola, entitled “Sex Offenders”.

 

Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the meeting at 9:50 PM.
