Chief Scott Holliday gave the
Mineola Fire Department report for the month of November. Chief Holliday reminded residents to change
the batteries in their smoke detectors and to replace smoke detectors every 10
years. Chief Holliday gave an update on
Operation Santa.
William Barrett of Rynkar,
Vail and Barrett, LLC gave a presentation of the Village’s 2006/2007 Financial
Statement.

of the Board presented the 2007 Mineola Athletic Association Girl’s Softball
Team Champions with citations.

Spellman read a letter of resignation from Trustee John S. DaVanzo.
Mayor Martins announced that
the Veterans Day ceremony would be held on
Mayor Martins reported on a
problem with the elevator at the
Mayor Martins congratulated
Joan and Walter Hobbs on the dedication of the
Mayor Martins reported that
he had been meeting regularly with mayors of other villages along the
Mayor Martins also announced
that the Village was looking for a Christmas tree to be planted in the new
pocket park on Jericho Turnpike.
Trustee Lawrence Werther
expressed his gratitude to John DaVanzo and thanked him for his years of

reported that the Mustang Run Committee is working diligently to finish
preparations for the Mustang Run on

congratulated Joan and Walter Hobbs on the

thanked John DaVanzo for all of his years of service and said that he would be
sorely missed. Trustee Cusato reported
on the Chamber of Commerce “
Chief Scott Holliday
announced that the Junior Fire Department Pasta dinner would be held on
Village Attorney, John
Spellman, reported on the Sports Complex Request for Proposals. Mr. Spellman discussed a possible hearing in
December pertaining to proposed ordinances to address the issue of
homelessness.
Mr. Spellman asked Mayor
Martins and the members of the Board to pass a resolution pertaining for the
upcoming Special Permit application for a CVS on Jericho Turnpike.

application of First Hartford Realty Corp. for a Special Use Permit upon the
property known as 17 East Jericho Turnpike as an unlisted action with no
significant environmental impact.
