Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola

held Friday, October 26, 2007 at Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue , Mineola , New York 11501 .

 

PRESENT:                             Mayor Jack M. Martins

Trustee Lawrence A. Werther

                                                                Trustee Linda Fairgrieve

 

ALSO PRESENT:                 Village Attorney John Spellman

                                                Village Clerk Joseph R. Scalero

                                                                                               

 

Sunshine Observers:              3 Observers

 

 

A Public Hearing was held at 5:30 PM at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue , Mineola , New York 11501 , in order to receive public comment upon the following:

 

                        THE PROPOSED HOMESTEAD TAX OPTION PURSUANT

                        TO ARTICLE 19 SECTION 1903 OF THE NEW YORK

                        STATE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW

 

 

 

 

Resolution No. 267-07

 

Resolved to adopt a Local Law creating Chapter 88 of the Municipal Code of the Incorporated Village of Mineola, entitled “Homestead Base Proportions and None-Homestead  Base Proportions”, to adopt Real Property Law Section 1903 concerning homestead base proportions.

Mayor Martins announced that the Public Hearing for the proposed CVS on 17 East Jericho Turnpike is scheduled for November 14, 2007 at 6:30 PM .

 

Resolution No. 268-07

 

Resolved to waive the site plan review by the Architectural Review Board for the above referenced project.

Mayor Martins announced that there would be an additional hearing on November 28, 2007 for the application by Polimeni International, LLC  for the construction of a 285 unit residential condominium.

 

Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the hearing.
