Village Treasurer Giacomo
Ciccone gave a feasibility report on the Village’s ability to divide residential
property taxes into two payments. Mr. Ciccone reported that such an undertaking
would cause a significant loss of interest income and would create cash flow problems
requiring bridge loans.
Mr. Ciccone also reported that
grant money from the State Justice Court Assistance program has been approved
for the purchase of for new computer equipment for the

Resolved to accept the
financial report for fiscal year 2005/2006 as prepared by Rynkar, Vail &
Barrett.

Mayor Martins opened the
Public Meeting at 7:45 PM.
Trustee Cusato was excused
from the Public Meeting at 7:45 PM.
Mayor Martins reported on the
upcoming Centennial Parade. Mayor
Martins also announced the Village’s free Flu Shot program to be held on
October 23, 2006, for residents age 60 and
over and the Village Halloween Party on October 27, 2006 from 7:00 PM to 9:00
PM. Mayor Martins also expressed his
condolences to the family of Mineola Fire Department member James Rowe.
Trustee Lawrence Werther
commended Mr. Barrett and his staff at Rynkar, Vail & Barrett on the 2005/2006
Fiscal Budget Report. He also thanked
Mr. Ciccone and his staff for their efforts.
Trustee Werther reported on upcoming events at the Mineola Memorial
Library as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
Trustee Linda Fairgrieve read
the Justice Court Report for the month of September. Trustee Fairgrieve also reported on the
Mineola Mustang Run scheduled for November 19, 2006 and stated that this year’s
run would be dedicated to the
Trustee John DaVanzo reported
on the Centennial Parade scheduled for October 22, 2006. Trustee DaVanzo reported that almost all of
the originally scheduled participants would be in the parade.

Meeting at 8:55 PM.
