OF REGULATIONS”, SUB-SECTION (A) ENTITLED “DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE BONUSES”, FOR
THE CONVERSION FROM RESIDENTIAL TO A LAW OFFICE USE IN AN R-3 ZONE UPON THE
PROPERTY KNOWN as 228 HARRISON AVENUE, MINEOLA, NEW YORK, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED

WHEREAS, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is
Authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to make grants to state and other units of general local government to help finance Community Development Programs; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY OF NASSAU (County) and VILLAGE OF MINEOLA (Sub recipient) entered in an Cooperation Agreement to participate in a Nassau County Community Development Program, for a term of three (3) years to commence the 1st day of October 2002 and end the 30th of September 2005, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS , the Secretary of
has approved a Community Development Program for the 33rd Program Year, Federal fiscal year 2007; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Cooperative Agreement the COUNTY and the SUBRECIPIENT have agreed to undertake project activities using Community Development Block Grant Funds to be received by the COUNTY from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved an application for Community Development Block Grant Funds, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended submitted by the COUNTY and participating municipalities for the 33rd Program Year, Federal Fiscal Year 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the INC.VILLAGE OF MINEOLA, deems it to be in the public interest of the SUBRECIPIENT to enter into said proposed Agreement for the purpose of undertaking project activities thereto set forth, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Jack M. Martins, Mayor of the Incorporated Village of Mineola be and he hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement between the SUBRECIPIENT and the COUNTY OF NASSAU for the purpose of undertaking project activities under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, for the 33rd Program Year, Federal Fiscal Year 2007.

the Village would be hosting a forum along with Inspector O’Leary from the 3rd Precinct, on
Mayor Martins also announced
that
Mayor Martins congratulated
Charles and May Ann Ribando on being named “Italian American Couple of the
Year” by the Knights of Columbus.
Mayor Martins invited all
residents to come out for the Village Halloween Party on
Mayor Martins discussed the
legality of using Village funds for charitable donations. Mayor Martins explained that charitable
donations of village funds is not
legal. Mayor Martins invited the members
of the Board to speak to the issue; no one had anything to add.
