Mineola Fire Department Chief Scott Holliday announced the passing of Honorary Chief Edward Fronckwicz as well as the arrangements. Chief Holliday thanked the Village Department Heads for their assistance with the Getty Gas Station Fire and gave an update on the Mineola Fire Department.

Mayor Martins thanked all of the Mineola Fire Department Companies and Chiefs for their work on the Getty Gas Station Fire.

Village Clerk Joseph R. Scalero announced that events scheduled for the Mineola Memorial Library would be held at the Community Center until the flood repairs are completed. Mr. Scalero announced the arrangement for the Village’s September 11^th ceremony.

Department of Public Works Superintendent Thomas Rini reported on the success of the Village’s Summer Recreation Program and Community Pool season. Mr. Rini also reported that the Village’s Road Resurfacing Project would be starting soon as would the tree trim and removal program and catch basin cleaning.

Water Department Supervisor Frederick Booher reported on the Water Department’s production for the month of August as well as the upcoming hydrant flushing in October.

Mayor Martins announced that the Board of Trustees would be having a Public Hearing on Flood Insurance on September 19, 2007 .

Mayor Martins requested a motion to go into Executive Session at 7:20 PM
