The Board members discussed
the proposals that were received in response to the Mineola Police Department
RFP.
Trustee Cusato indicated that
he was in favor of the proposal submitted by CGR for $112,000.00, stating that
their approach to the study made sense to him.
Trustee Werther reported that
he would dismiss from consideration the firm that put in a bid for
architectural work. Trustee Werther also reported that he had contacted some of
the firms on Trustee Fairgrieve’s list from a previous meeting and received
conflicting information.
Mayor Martins also dismissed
the firm that submitted an architectural proposal because it doesn’t apply to
the RFP. Mayor Martins stated that he
didn’t feel that either of the other two firms that submitted proposals had the
expertise to conduct the analysis that was requested. Mayor Martins also stated
that he could think of a number of alternative ways to use that kind of money
such as for roof repairs, road paving and athletic fields.
Deputy Prosecutor Benjamin
Truncale gave a brief explanation of the North Shore Heritage Area Management
Plan and indicated that the plan would be discussed in more detail at a later
date.
