A Public Hearing continued
from May 20, 2009 was held at 6:50 PM at the Village Hall, 155 Washington
Avenue, Mineola, New York, 11501 in order to receive public comment upon the
following:
APPLICATION
OF 250 OLD COUNTRY ROAD, LLC FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 30 OF THE
CODE OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MINEOLA ENTITLED “ZONING”, SECTION 30.5
(DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE BONUS LAW), FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 257 UNIT
RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINUM IN THE B-3 ZONE UPON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT OLD COUNTRY
ROAD AND THIRD STREET, AND BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THIRD AVENUE, MINEOLA, NEW
YORK, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED ON THE NASSAU COUNTY LAND AND TAX MAP AS SECTION 9,
BLOCK 675, LOT(S) 2A-2B.

Board of Trustees declare this application a Type I action under the State
Environmental Quality Review Act.

Mayor Jack M. Martins reported on his lobbying trip to Albany relating to Long Island issues and to the bill regarding the consolidation of government units recently passed by the New York State Legislature. Mayor Martins discussed a meeting with town officials concerning “flow control” and tipping fees for garbage disposal. Mayor Martins commented on the Smart Growth award given to the Kingdom Family Holdings development at Harrison Avenue and Main Street and recognized this is the third award Mineola has received for “smart growth.”
Trustee Paul A. Pereira reminded everyone that Saturday
is pool opening day and Sunday is the Boy Scout pancake breakfast.
