Minutes of the meeting of the
Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola held Wednesday, May
11, 2005 at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York.

A Public Hearing was held at 6:30 PM at the Village
Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York, 11501 in order to receive
public comment upon:
The discontinuance and conveyance of a strip of municipal land in
Mineola, known as Station Road, specifically that section between 3rd
and 4th Avenues, more
specifically described as:
Beginning at the corner formed by the intersection of the easterly
side of 4th
Avenue with the southerly side of Station Road;
Running
Thence north
17 degrees 40 minutes 59seconds
west distance of 40.00 feet across Station Road;
Thence along the northerly side of Station Road (to be
vacated)
north 72
degrees 19minutes 01 seconds east 395.63 feet to the
westerly
side of 3rd Avenue;
Thence
south 17 degrees 40
minutes 59 seconds east a distance
of 51.70
feet across Station Road to the corner formed by the
intersection of the westerly side of 3rd
Avenue with the southerly
side of
Station Road;
Thence along
the southerly side of Station Road (to be vacated)

A proposed Local Law Amending Chapter 30,Entitled
“Zoning”
§30.102,
entitled “Building Permits”, to add thereto subsections
(D) and(E) to provide that building permits may not be
issued prior
to Planning Board approval in matters where such approval is required
and to
provide for the reimbursement expenses incurred by the Village Boards in their
review of applications.

Mayor Martins opened the Work Session at 7:30 PM.
Mayor Martins reported that Village Clerk Michael Arens had resigned and introduced Joseph R. Scalero as the new Village Clerk.
Resolved to approve the Village of Mineola’s continued participation in the Nassau County Urban Consortium.

Building
Department Supervisor, Daniel B. Whalen asked the board for a resolution for
the SEQRA determination for the Special Use Permit applicant, Doshi Associates,
LLC, for the location known as 124-B E.
Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY. Mr.
Whalen explained that the SEQRA determination is necessary for the applicant to
move forward with the Nassau County Planning Board as well as the Village’s
Zoning
Board.

Attorney Mr. Spellman stated that this was an unlisted action with no
significant environmental impact.
