Village Clerk, Joseph R. Scalero, gave an update on Channels 18 & 40. Mr. Scalero also reported that the Mineola Union Free School District would be providing School Board meetings to be aired.

Resolved to approve the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps’ request for the use of Wilson Park on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, for their annual picnic, subject to the regulations for Village of Mineola park usage.

Superintendent of Public Works Thomas Rini gave an update on the plans for Jack’s Run/Walk for Autism Awareness, scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2007.

Building Department Superintendent, Daniel B. Whalen, reported on the Building Department’s activity and revenue for the month of April 2007.

Water Department Supervisor, Fred Booher, reported on the Village’s annual hydrant flushing program thus far. Mr. Booher reported on the progress of the Village of Mineola’s Annual Water Quality Report that will be delivered to consumers in the Village of Mineola. Mr. Booher also gave an update on repairs to Well #7.

Mayor Martins reported on calls from residents regarding water running from Well #7 and explained that this was part of the testing process.

Resolution No. 102-07

Resolved to approve the use of Village parks and roads for the Memorial Day Parade, with the parade beginning at Wilson Park and ending with a ceremony at Mineola Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 28, 2007.
