USE” TO PROVIDE FOR RESIDENTIAL
USES
WITHIN THE B-2 DISTRICT CONSISTENT WITH
ADJACENT
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.

subject to approval by the Nassau County Planning Commission.

Water Department Supervisor,
Frederick Booher gave an update on the Village’s Annual Water Quality
Report. Mr. Booher also reported on the
progress of the annual hydrant flushing program.
Mayor Martins had requested a
report by the liaison to the Historical Society, however, since there was one
more Historical Society meeting scheduled before the summer break, the report
was tabled.
Mayor Martins and the Board
members discussed how often and which Village Board meetings should be aired on
Channel 18 particularly when there is more than one meeting in a week. Due to varying program lengths and time
sensitive topics, the Board agreed to reaffirm the Village’s policy to air the
Village Board meetings as often as possible.

Mayor Martins opened the Public Meeting at 8:55
PM.
Mayor Martins recognized
Dennis Walsh for his participation at the Earth Day clean-up. Mr. Walsh was the only resident to show for
the annual event. Mayor Martins reported
on the Centennial Caboose and restored Gazebo in Memorial Park. Mayor Martins announced that the art work of Village
resident Lisa Cotroneo would be on display at the Mineola Memorial Library.
Trustee Lawrence Werther
congratulated the Pfeffer Family on their recent family weddings. Trustee Werther announced that the Mineola
Auxiliary Police Department is looking for new members and reported on police
activity for the month.
Trustee Linda Fairgrieve gave
the
Trustee Paul Cusato reported
on the Mustang Run Committee’s donation of $3,000 to the Historical
Society. Trustee Cusato reported on the
Mineola Fire Department’s activities for the month of April. Trustee Cusato thanked resident Dennis Walsh
for participating in the Earth Day clean-up.
Trustee John DaVanzo reported
on preparations for the opening of the Mineola Pool and
Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the meeting
at 10:45 PM.
