Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola

held Friday, April 11, 2008 at Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York 11501.

Mayor Martins opened the Budget Work Session at 6:20 PM.

 

Superintendent of Public Works Thomas J. Rini reported on the budget for the Department of Public Works.

 

Mayor Martins requested a motion to go into Executive Session at 6:40 PM.

Mayor Martins requested a motion to come out of Executive Session at 6:50 PM.

Chief Scott Holliday gave the 2008/2009 budget report for the Mineola Fire Department. 

 

Water Department Supervisor, Frederick Booher, gave the 2008/2009 budget report for the Mineola Water Department.

 

Mayor Martins and the members took a requested from 7:40 PM to 8:00 PM. 

 

Mayor Martins discussed the need to look into alternate revenue streams in order to maintain the budget.  Mayor Martins announced that the Village would hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday. April 16, 2008, to discuss a proposal to increase fines for parking violations in the Village of Mineola.

 

Mayor Martins also announced that the Village would hold a Public Hearing on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 7:00 PM to discuss any changes from the proposed 2008/2009 budget.  

 

Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the meeting at 8:05 PM.
