Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola held Wednesday, April 8, 2010 at Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York 11501.

A Public Hearing was held
at 6:30 PM at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York, 11501
in order to receive public comment upon the following:

TO TAXPAYERS OF THE
INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF
MINEOLA
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tentative BUDGET for the Year 2010/2011 has been completed by the Budget Officer and filed in the Office of the Village Clerk in the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York wherein same will remain open for inspection by the general public, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until April 8, 2010 when a Public Hearing will be held in the Village Hall of the Incorporated Village of Mineola, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York 11501 at 6:30 p.m. to consider said BUDGET for final adoption.
The maximum compensation proposed to be paid to each member of the Board of Trustees, all sources, shall not exceed for:

Pursuant to Section 495 of the Real Property Tax Law, the Local Government Exemption Impact Report is attached to the Tentative Budget for the Year 2010/2011. The Report will be a part of the Final Budget for the Year 2010/2011. The Report is on file in the Office of the Village Clerk in the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York wherein same will remain open for inspection by the general public, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Report is also posted on the Budgeting Authority’s bulletin board maintained for public notices.
The Village of Mineola does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in administration or access to or employment in its projects and activities.
All those persons wishing to be heard concerning this Proposed Budget will be given such opportunity. Written comments will also be accepted.

Mayor Martins thanked the department heads for cutting cost and holding down expenses and reported that Mineola is in a good financial place despite the national economic decline. Mayor Martins stated that there will be a 0% tax increase budget for the Fiscal Year 2010/2011.
