Mayor Jack M. Martins congratulated Trustees Pereira and Cusato on their re-election and also congratulated Ex-Chief Nick Martone, Sr. on celebrating 60th years of service with the Mineola Fire Department; thanked Cub Scout Pack 246 for inviting him to their Blue & Gold dinner celebrating the transition of some of the scouts to Boy Scout Troop 45, and congratulated Boy Scouts of America Troop 45 and Scoutmaster Steve Grosekopf on having six (6) Eagle Scouts this year. Mayor Martins reminded everyone that the Budget Hearing is Wednesday April 8, 2010 at 6:30 PM.
Trustee Lawrence A. Werther also welcomed back fellow trustees Paul Cusato and Paul Pereira and congratulated them on their re-election to new terms of office. Trustee Werther further congratulated Village Justice John O’Shea on his re-election and Acting Village Justice Richard O’Callaghan on his re-appointment, and thanked all of the appointed village employees on a job well done. Trustee Werther stressed that residents should “shop Mineola” and support village businesses as they support the Little League teams.
Trustee Paul S. Cusato stated that he was honored and privileged to be back on the Board and looked forward to working with his fellow Board members and also congratulated Ex-Chief Nick Martone, Sr. on his 60th year of service with the Mineola Fire Department.
Trustee Thomas F. Kennedy congratulated Trustees Pereira and Cusato on their re-election and thanked them for volunteering their time to the village. Trustee Kennedy also thanked the many volunteers who serve on the different boards of the village for their efforts and announced that Saturday April 17, 2010 is the Mineola Athletic Association’s (MAA) Little League Parade.
Trustee Paul Pereira thanked everyone who supported him, thanked all those that had a part in making the Organizational Meeting a success and wished Trustee Cusato a Happy Birthday.
