Resolution No.109-06

WHEREAS, the Village wishes to purchase street lights and poles and the installation of same for the beautification of Jericho Turnpike;

WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the cost of such purchase and installation will exceed $10,000.00; and

WHEREAS, because it is anticipated that the purchase and installation of lights and poles will exceed $10,000.00, the Village must advertise for the procurement of competitive bids.

WHEREAS, the cost of said items will be paid from the Nassau County Community Development Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Trustees authorizes the Village Clerk to advertise for the purpose of obtaining competitive bids.

Budget Meeting

Chief Jack Gayson presented the budget for the Mineola Volunteer Fire Department.

Patrick Tobin, President of the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, presented the budget for the Ambulance Corps.

Library Director Charles Sleefe presented the budget for the Mineola Memorial Library.

Mayor Martins requested a recess at 8:30 PM.

Mayor Martins re-opened the budget meeting at 9:40 PM.

Mayor Martins requested a motion to close the meeting at 9:55 PM.
