Minutes of the meeting of the
Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Mineola held Wednesday,
February 9, 2005 at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York.

A public hearing was scheduled for 6:30 PM in order to receive public comment on the following:
An application by Verizon to the Incorporated Village of Mineola requesting that the Village petition the New York State Department of Public Service for a waiver of Part 594 of the rules of the New York State Department of Public Service.
Resolved to approve the request by Verizon for a petition waiving Part 594 of the rules of the New York State Department of Public Service.

The Mineola School
District’s Fine Arts Department has requested the use of Mineola Memorial Park
for it’s Summer Music Program Concert that is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22,
2005 and would require the use of the park from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Mayor Martins expressed
concern about any inconvenience this may cause for the residents in the
surrounding area and asked that the Board of Trustees table their decision on
this request until more information could be obtained.
The Mineola School
District has requested the use of the Village’s fields and facilities for the
Mineola/NYSFBC Marching Band Competition on October 15, 2005 from 3:00 PM and
10:00 PM at the Hampton Street Stadium.
The Board of Trustees
tabled their decision on this request until additional information could be
obtained.
Village Clerk, Michael
Arens requested a resolution to post for bids for the Mineola Pool Refreshment
Concession Stand and Pool Shuttle Service for the 2005 season.
The Board of Trustees
tabled their vote on this request, and agreed that awarding the contracts for
these services, especially the concession stand, should be based on additional
criteria such as hours of operation, pricing and quality.
Resolution No. 36-05
Resolved to approve a 6-month final extension of the
Special Use Permit & Building (the “Permits”) from the Village of Mineola
for New York SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless (“Verizon
Wireless”) in connection with the communication facility (the “Communication
Facility”) to be located @ the LIPA High Utility Pole (No. 65) (the “Utility
Pole”) located @ No# (Betty Lane) & E.
Jericho Turnpike (NYS Rte.25), Mineola New York. Be it further resolved that any additional requests will require
a formal application before the Board of Trustees.

fiscal year to-date-budget analysis report that was furnished to the Board
Members.
