Mayor Martins opened the Work Session at 6:30 PM.

A Public Hearing was held at 7:30 PM at the Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola, New York, 11501 in order to receive public comment upon the following:

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF

THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MINEOLA, CHAPTER 30

ENTITLED “ZONING”, TO CREATE A §31.52 TO BE ENTITLED

“REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER RESIDENCY RESTRICTIONS”, IN

ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE PUBLIC SAFETY PARAMETERS FOR

SEX OFFENDER RESIDENCIES WITHIN THE INCORPORATED

VILLAGE OF MINEOLA

Resolution No. 14-07

Resolved to approve the proposed Local Law amending the Municipal Code of the Incorporated Village of Mineola, Chapter 30 entitled “Zoning”, to create a §31.52 to be entitled “Registered Sex Offender Residency Restrictions”, in order to establish the public safety parameters for registered sex offender residencies within the Incorporated Village of Mineola.
