The NWS has upgraded the current winter storm warning to a BLIZZARD WARNING until 1:00 AM Friday.
Travel will be very dangerous to impossible, especially during the morning AND evening commutes today.
Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour at times are expected this morning into afternoon.
Additional snow accumulations of 6-9 inches are expected.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause whiteout conditions and significant snow drifting is likely.
If you do not need to go out, stay indoors until snowfall ends.
Village offices are closed today for all non-emergency services and will re-open Friday morning at 8:30am.
ALL vehicles must now be off ALL streets. There are NO exceptions.
Vehicles must remain off streets until 24 hours AFTER snowfall ends.
When clearing snow from sidewalks and driveways, please DO NOT throw snow into streets.
It is a violation of Village Code and hinders street plowing.
If your property is adjacent to a fire hydrant, please clear snow from around the hydrant.
