The annual holiday event includes seasonal music featuring the Chaminade H.S. band, light refreshments, and a special visit from Santa Clause.
All residents are invited to gather outside Village Hall for the lighting festivities and to come together afterwards inside the Community Center for light refreshments and children’s photos with Santa.
For additional information, please contact the Recreation Department at 746-0750 ext. 268 or ext. 237.
Mineola’s tree was planted in 2007. The Village of Mineola was the first village on LI to “go green” by replacing its old incandescent holiday light bulbs with newer, energy efficient light-emitting diodes, or LED’s, which consume nearly 75% less electricity than older style light bulbs. The tree is also environmentally friendly because, unlike many urban municipalities that use cut trees, Mineola planted a living, sustainable tree in keeping with our suburban character.
